Gentiana Xhelili ka mbaruar studimet në psikologji klinike në vitin 2005 pranë Universitetit të Tiranës. Në vitin 2009 ka përfunduar studimet e masterit në Pedagogji të Specializuar Sociale. Studimet e saj doktorale i ka fokusuar  te pacientët e shëndetit mendor.

Gentiana ka një eksperiencë të gjerë në fushën e këshillimit psikologjik dhe shëndetit mendor.

Në vitet 2005-2007, ajo ka ofruar këshillim dhe mbështetje psikologjike për gratë dhe vajzat viktima të trafikimit të qenieve njerëzore.

Në vitet 2009-2010, ka ofruar këshillim dhe mbështetje psikologjike për personat përdorues të lëndëve narkotike.

Përgjatë viteve 2008-2011, Gentiana ka ushtruar profesionin e psikologes pranë Spitalit Psikiatrik Vlorë.

Gjatë 2009-2011, ka ofruar vlerësim dhe mbështetje psikologjike si eksperte e jashtme pranë Gjykatës së Rrethit Vlorë, Shtëpisë së Foshnjes Vlorë dhe Qendrës së Zhvillimit për Personat me Aftësi të Kufizuar, Vlorë.

Që prej vitit 2011 është lektore pranë Universitetit “Ismail Qemali”, Vlorë.

Aktualisht është duke ndjekur Trajnimin në Psikoterapi Psikoanalitike dhe ofron psikoterapi psikoanalitike si psikoterapiste në supervizim.

Gentiana Xhelili, graduated in 2005 in clinical psychology at University of  Tirana.  She received her Master’s Degree in 2009, in Special Education. Her PhD research is focused on mental health patients.

Gentiana has an extensive experience in the field of mental health and psychological counseling.

During  2005-2007, she has provided counseling and psychological support for women and girls victims of human trafficking.

During  2009-2010, she has provided counseling and psychological support for people with substance abuse problems.

During  2008-2011, Gentiana has worked as a psychologist at the Psychiatric Hospital Vlore.

During 2009-2011, she has provided  psychological assessment and counseling as an external expert for the District Court of  Vlora,  for Children’s Home-Vlore,  and for the Developmental Center for People with Disabilities- Vlore.

Since 2011 she is lecturer at  University “Ismail Qemali”, Vlore.

Currently,  she is attending the Training  in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and provides psychoanalytic psychotherapy as a psychotherapist under supervision.
